What your support means to me
I have put a huge amount of time and effort into raising Mr. Moo-agi. Kids like me are not just doing agriculture, we are learning how to be entrepreneurs too, building responsibility, budgeting, record keeping, communication, and hard work habits I’ll use my whole life.
When you buy my steer, you are showing me that my community supports me. It gives me recognition and it motivates me to keep working hard and saving for the future. A lot of kids who go through this program come back years later as buyers themselves.
Why buyers matter to me
I’m saving a big part of what I earn toward my future college costs. I already know how fast tuition and school expenses are going up, so every dollar I put away now really does help me later.
I also give back. I donate a percentage of what I earn to help send kids who could not otherwise afford it to summer 4-H camp, because that program matters to me too.
A lot of buyers like to meet me before the sale instead of just showing up on auction night. It helps them know who they are supporting, and it gives me a chance to say thank you in person. If you would like to meet Mr. Moo-agi and me before Thursday, just reach out.
